Choral - 2017 - watercolour - 30" x 22"

This watercolour resulted from listening to and falling in love with Marianne Trudel's improvisational composition Choral. In the music she attacks the piano with deep bass notes (the three dark strokes - bottom right) while the clarinet explodes and soars with high notes (the bright circular pink area). This piece will be featured in a documentary presently being edited from the experience of improvisational music at Coin-Du-Banc.
